PensieroSicuro Companion · Coming soon

From scanner reports to whoever has to fix it, with a deadline.

Vulnerability Companion: scanner findings, matched to assets and given a deadline.

What it does

One list, asset by asset, with who has to fix what and by when.

The PensieroSicuro Companion module that collects vulnerabilities from scanner reports, matches them to the assets in the CMDB and gives each one a remediation deadline based on severity.

01

Import without duplicates

CSV from Nessus, Rapid7, Defender or a spreadsheet. If a fixed vulnerability shows up again, it reopens.

02

Matched to assets

By host or IP from the CMDB. Unrecognised findings stay «to be matched», without creating assets blindly.

03

Deadlines and reasons

Deadlines by severity are set up from the site. Accepting one or marking it as a false positive requires a written reason.

Who it’s for and what you get

IT and security teams who receive scanner reports and have to follow up on fixes.

  • ✓ A single list of open vulnerabilities, asset by asset
  • ✓ Remediation deadlines written down, not remembered
  • ✓ A link to a risk when a vulnerability can’t be closed straight away

Why it’s different

Not another scanner

It uses the reports from the tools you already have.

Linked to the CMDB

Each vulnerability sits on the right asset, and the 360-degree view shows it next to the processes.

It is one of the new PensieroSicuro Companion modules: it is coming soon, and you can already book a demo. It works on the same foundation as the other modules: your organisation and the map of processes, resources and dependencies.

Want your ROSI to grow?

Lowers the likelihood. A vulnerability closed on time is one less way in for attackers. Deadlines by severity focus the effort where it matters.

ROSI (Return on Security Investment) measures how much risk you avoid for every euro invested in security:

ROSI = (risk avoided − investment) ÷ investment

A serious attack costs the affected company around €300,000 on average (Clusit Report, October 2025); a data breach in Italy reaches €3.31 million (IBM, Cost of a Data Breach 2025). Even with cautious assumptions, remediation deadlines on the assets that matter lowers the cost or the likelihood of an incident.

How ROSI is calculated

The calculation is an indicative estimate based on assumptions and public data. It is not a commitment, a guarantee of results or a commercial offer.

What it contributes to in NIST CSF 2.0

The NIST Cybersecurity Framework 2.0 organises security into six functions. These are the ones supported by Vulnerability Companion.

  • GV Govern: no
  • ID Identify: yes
  • PR Protect: no
  • DE Detect: no
  • RS Respond: no
  • RC Recover: no
  • ID.RA Risk Assessment
