Risk Management Companion: the risk register on processes and assets.
From assessment to actions, on the same process map.
The PensieroSicuro Companion risk register, on the processes and assets of the map. Likelihood times impact on a 1 to 5 scale, with the impact suggested by the BIA; then treatment, residual risk, and actions with an owner and a deadline.
The suggested value comes from the criticality class of the process, and it is recorded.
Mitigate, accept, transfer or avoid. Above the threshold, acceptance asks who, when and why.
Every action has an owner and a deadline. The periodic review is set up from the site.
Risk managers, security and compliance managers, senior management.
Impact isn’t made up: it starts from how critical the processes are.
Who accepted a risk, when and why.
It is one of the new PensieroSicuro Companion modules: it is coming soon, and you can already book a demo. It works on the same foundation as the other modules: your organisation and the map of processes, resources and dependencies.
All PensieroSicuro Companion modulesLowers the likelihood. Ranking risks by likelihood and impact helps you invest first where the risk avoided is greatest: the same logic as ROSI.

ROSI (Return on Security Investment) measures how much risk you avoid for every euro invested in security:
ROSI = (risk avoided − investment) ÷ investment
A serious attack costs the affected company around €300,000 on average (Clusit Report, October 2025); a data breach in Italy reaches €3.31 million (IBM, Cost of a Data Breach 2025). Even with cautious assumptions, a risk register that starts from how critical your processes are lowers the cost or the likelihood of an incident.
How ROSI is calculatedThe calculation is an indicative estimate based on assumptions and public data. It is not a commitment, a guarantee of results or a commercial offer.
The NIST Cybersecurity Framework 2.0 organises security into six functions. These are the ones supported by Risk Management Companion.
