PensieroSicuro Companion · Coming soon

Do you know what stops if that server goes down?

CMDB Companion: the asset register linked to the process map.

What it does

An inventory that knows which processes each asset serves.

The PensieroSicuro Companion asset register. For every resource in the process map it adds host, IP, environment, supplier, version, end of support and classification, plus the relationships between assets. The 360-degree view shows on one page what an asset depends on and what it takes down with it.

01

The assets you already have

Assets are the resources of the process map: no second list to keep in sync.

02

CSV import

From Lansweeper, Rapid7, Nessus or a spreadsheet. It only updates the fields present and logs the rows it skips.

03

360-degree view

Processes with their BIA class, cascading impact up to three steps, and linked incidents, risks, vulnerabilities and changes.

Who it’s for and what you get

IT, security and business continuity managers who need to know which systems keep critical processes running.

  • ✓ An asset inventory tied to processes, not a separate spreadsheet
  • ✓ The cascading impact of a failure, before it happens
  • ✓ End of support and classification of every asset at a glance

Why it’s different

It starts from processes

Each asset is shown with the processes that use it and how critical they are.

Linked to the other modules

Incidents, risks, vulnerabilities and changes appear in the same view.

It is one of the new PensieroSicuro Companion modules: it is coming soon, and you can already book a demo. It works on the same foundation as the other modules: your organisation and the map of processes, resources and dependencies.

Want your ROSI to grow?

Lowers the cost of an incident. Knowing what an asset takes down with it shortens diagnosis and recovery, and shows where to protect first.

ROSI (Return on Security Investment) measures how much risk you avoid for every euro invested in security:

ROSI = (risk avoided − investment) ÷ investment

A serious attack costs the affected company around €300,000 on average (Clusit Report, October 2025); a data breach in Italy reaches €3.31 million (IBM, Cost of a Data Breach 2025). Even with cautious assumptions, an inventory that links every asset to the processes that use it lowers the cost or the likelihood of an incident.

How ROSI is calculated

The calculation is an indicative estimate based on assumptions and public data. It is not a commitment, a guarantee of results or a commercial offer.

What it contributes to in NIST CSF 2.0

The NIST Cybersecurity Framework 2.0 organises security into six functions. These are the ones supported by CMDB Companion.

  • GV Govern: no
  • ID Identify: yes
  • PR Protect: no
  • DE Detect: no
  • RS Respond: no
  • RC Recover: no
  • ID.AM Asset Management
